LD4 Committees & Teams

Join a committee or team within LD4 and connect with fellow Precinct Committeemen to cultivate a spirit of collaborative decision-making that empowers our community and strengthens our republican party.

Appeals Committee – This Appeals Committee is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, monitors District bylaws, rules & procedures. (See LD4 bylaws Article VI, Section 2 for further details) 

Audit Committee – This Audit Committee is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4 and is required to conduct an audit of the financial records of the District upon a change in incumbency of the Treasurer, and at such time as the Board or Chair requests. The Audit Committee must report their findings to the District. (See LD4 bylaws Article IX, Section D for further details) 

Voter Registration Committee – This Voter Registration Committee is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, who work to develop and implement voter registration programs. (See LD4 bylaws Article VI, Section 1) 

Bylaws Team – This Bylaws Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, that advises on and makes recommendations for an organization’s bylaws. Their responsibilities include:  

    • Ensuring that bylaws are up to date and compliant with current standards.
    • Compare LD4 Bylaws with other LD Bylaws.
    • Recommending changes: Advising on and recommending changes to bylaws and standing rules.
    • Preparing and submitting proposed changes to the membership for a vote.
    • Ensuring adherence that the bylaws amendments process and timeline are followed.
    • Assisting with presentations to formulate a process for presenting proposed amendments.
    • Bylaws team will review the MCRC and AZGOP Bylaws and be prepared to make recommendations for improvement.

Check In / Welcome Team – This Check In and Welcome Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, responsible for greeting all Precinct Committeemen and visitors upon arrival, providing them with essential information, and ensuring they feel welcome.  Key aspects:  

    • Initial greeting: They are the first point of contact for new PCs or visitors, providing a friendly and positive introduction to the LD4 meetings and events.
    • Orientation overview: They may give a brief overview of the LD4 mission, values, key departments, and important procedures.
    • Administrative tasks: Assisting with paperwork, access card distribution, and setting up necessary accounts. 

Elections Security – This Elections Security Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, who keep PC’s updated with related Bills, as well as training opportunities such as hand-count training, Election Observer, Worker trainings and opportunities. This team will help identify volunteers for the MCRC and AZGOP mandatory and statutory meetings. 

Events / Hospitality – This Events and Hospitality Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, responsible for managing and executing events, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience for attendees, food and beverage service, venue setup, and overall event logistics, all while maintaining a focus on creating a hospitable environment for all LD4 Precinct Committeemen.  Key responsibilities might include: 

    • Event planning and coordination: Designing event concepts, managing budgets, selecting venues, coordinating catering, and overseeing event timelines.
    • On-site logistics: Managing event setup and breakdown, coordinating Precinct Committeemen, and addressing any issues that arise during the event.
    • Food and beverage service: Overseeing potluck, catering arrangements, ensuring quality food and beverage presentation.
    • Team Building: Providing games, themes, or events to build relationships within LD4, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction.  
    • Post-event follow-up: Sending thank-you notes, collecting feedback, and analyzing event data for future improvements.

Fundraising Team – This Fundraising Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, who raise money for LD4. Fundraising teams can use a variety of strategies to raise money, including:  

    • Fundraising Letters: Write Contribution Request Letters, Chain Fundraising Letters, Telephone Request, often using peer-to-peer. P2P fundraisers allow each team member to raise money for the team from their social networks.
    • Merchandise sales: Teams can sell branded merchandise, such as t-shirts, mugs, and tote bags, to raise funds for LD4.
    • Sales of the 50/50 raffle tickets at each LD4 meeting.
    • Snack and beverage sales at LD4 meetings.
    • Sponsorship: Secure sponsorships from companies, organizations and/or candidates.
    • Advertising: Sell advertising spots on the website and newsletter.
    • Fundraising Events: Organize a fundraising event, host silent auctions or other events to raise money for LD4. 

Legislative Updates Team – This Legislative Updates Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, who tracks bills and major actions taken throughout our Legislative District, cities and towns. The Legislative Liaison can be contacted with questions or concerns about the current legislative session. Conducts interviews with legislators and legislative aids, sends written statements of support or opposition.  This team will provide Board with recommended votes for Request to Speak (RTS) system.  This team will provide the body with recommended actions needed from PCs to promote conservative legislation and discourage liberal legislation. 

Prayer Team – This Prayer Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, who gather to pray together for LD4, candidates, and Precinct Committeemen. People may choose to pray together for support, guidance, or strength during difficult times. The prayer team will coordinate a volunteer to lead LD4 in prayer at the beginning of each meeting.  Prayers will be non-denominational in nature. 

PC Recruitment Team – This PC Recruitment Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4 with the goal of filling every opening in each Precinct inside LD4 with America First PC’s, forward the information to the Captain of each Precinct and the Welcome Team to assure each new PC feels welcome and gets connected. 

Protecting Unborn Babies Team – This Protecting Unborn Babies Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, focused on supporting efforts and seeking means to come against the recent legislation, and find ways to advance the protection of unborn babies through education and awareness. 

School Board Team – This School Board Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, tasked with educating PCs on School Board meetings and issues. The team will attempt to solicit candidates for School Board, organize School Board campaign efforts, and assist with raising money for future School Board candidates. 

Social Media Team – This Social Media Team is a small group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, who create, publish, and monitor content for a LD4 social media accounts. They are responsible for bringing LD4’s social media to life, and can coordinate a variety of content, for other teams that need awareness brought to the attention of the LD4 members. This team will also notify Board members if a statement or question posted on social media needs attention. 

Training / Education Team – This Training/Education Team is a group of Precinct Committeemen inside LD4, who work to develop and implement training programs for Precinct Committeemen to be better equipped for future elections. Training programs are educational opportunities that help PC’s improve their skills, performance, and knowledge.
